Wins for General Practice will require
listening, being heard, strong leadership
We, GPs, need strong Leadership to take the voice of our profession to Politicians, Health Authorities and the community and tell them that enough is enough!
General Practice is to the point of starvation and death.
Funders and Australians, beware, General Practice is at risk of dying, just like a starved dog!
"If you want to know how little food to feed a dog before it starves to death. You will only discover the answer once you have killed the dog."
We need urgent action to prevent the otherwise inevitable health care crisis that will occur when General Practice is totally unsustainable and no longer accessible and available to provide the most important primary care services to our communities.
We need a unified and unrelenting voice that calls for action and not platitudes, for both GPs and our patients.

Why Vote For Me?
I know Gp
I have been working as a General Practitioner since 1994.
I became a Practice owner and GP Supervisor in 1998. The practice has grown from being a 3-5 GP practice to now employing 18 GPs and 3 Practice Nurses. We are a teaching practice for medical students and GPiT.
In 2000 I joined my local Division Board as a Director and was appointed Chair in 2001. I became a University Lecturer in 2008 and was appointed Head of General Practice at UNDA (Sydney) in 2012. I was Chair and Director of my local GP training organisation (GP Synergy)from 2001- 2015, and Chair of my local Medicare Local and PHN from 2012-2017.
I know RACGP

2009: Appointed as OSCE National Coordinator
2013: Elected Deputy Chair for NSW/ACT Faculty Council
2014: Appointed to REC Quality care (stood down in 2017 when appointed to the board)
2017: Elected Chair of NSW/ACT Faculty Council and Director for National RACGP Board.
2017-8: Vice President, RACGP
2018-9: Chair, RACGP Board
2019-22: Director, Chair Remuneration, Nominations, People and Culture
When I took on the role as Chair in 2017, it was with the specific goal of improving governance of RACGP and the value for members. Since then, I’ve contributed to significant internal change with increased emphasis on the needs of GP members and more assertive advocacy with the state and federal government. I am proud to see how the process of internal improvements has led to a complete transformation of our organisation to become Member centric. We are now in an IDEAL position to provide strong leadership and advocacy across Australia for GP
I acknowledge Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I live and work. I pay my respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People and commit to participating in the process of reconciliation.
